ROTAI’s Next-Gen Massage Chairs Will Respond to Your Mind and Body

Shanghai Launches National First for Brain-Computer Interface
China has begun building its first brain-computer interface (BCI) future industry cluster in Shanghai Hongqiao. The hub will unite research, manufacturing, and healthcare resources to accelerate the move from laboratory innovation to commercial application. This step reflects China’s ambition to lead in next-generation human–machine interaction.
Global Momentum in Brain-Computer Technology
The launch comes as the global BCI sector advances rapidly. Neuralink, founded by Elon Musk, recently announced that patients with spinal cord injuries can control devices directly with their thoughts. The company plans to integrate this with Tesla’s Optimus humanoid robots, signaling faster adoption of BCI technology worldwide.
ROTAI’s Strategic Cooperation with Aoyi Technology
In April 2025, ROTAI signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Aoyi Technology, a leader in neuroscience. Together, they established the Brain-Computer Interaction Joint Laboratory in Shanghai. The partnership aims to integrate brain-computer technology into smart health devices, in line with the Shanghai Brain-Computer Interface Future Industry Cultivation Action Plan (2025–2030).

Three Key Technology Breakthroughs
1. Emotion Detection – Combines neuro-signal analysis with ROTAI’s massage systems to detect and respond to user emotions.
2. Biomechanical Hand Technology – Enables automatic switching between massage modes and precise targeting of body acupoints.
3. Active Health Intervention – Creates an “awareness-device” system to monitor physiological signals and make real-time adjustments.
Investment and Product Development
ROTAI has committed tens of millions in research and development to accelerate product readiness. A flagship device featuring brainwave control, stress monitoring, and sleep induction is planned for launch this year. The first results from the joint laboratory are expected in 2025, setting new benchmarks for intelligent health equipment.
Vision for the Future of Smart Health
Lin Qi, General Manager of ROTAI, stated that the health industry is shifting from physical massage to neurosensing technology. The partnership with Aoyi Technology aims to speed this transition, moving from single products to integrated system solutions.
With the Shanghai BCI hub under construction, ROTAI will continue expanding cooperation with research institutions and industry partners to drive innovation in smart health and contribute to the high-quality growth of the health sector.
